Living Generously
One of the ways we worship is by compassionately and joyfully giving of our finances to support His work. God has blessed us with financial resources and it’s our responsibility to use these resources in ways that glorify Him. Some of these ways are making sure our family’s needs are met, helping to meet the needs of others, and freely investing in God’s work.

GIVING
Why does God need my money?
Let’s keep this simple.
If the only thing you’ve seen about church and money is hype,
scandals, or people promising blessings for “sowing a seed,” we
get it. That stuff deserves side-eye.
We don’t do that here.
We don’t believe giving makes you rich.
We don’t believe leaders should get rich off you.
We don’t believe God needs your cash.
We believe giving shapes your heart.
Tithe. Offering. The Rest.
Tithe
A ancient discipline practiced in the first testament, your first portion
(traditionally started at 10%) was given.
A ton of debate around this topic requires a face to
face sit down for anyone interested. The 2nd
testament elevates the conversation toward a
deeper discussion of your motives and worship.

Offering
Cheerful generosity over and beyond what is routinely
given — often ear-marked for additional needs, missions, or people in crisis.
The Real Issue: Money Has Gravity
Jesus said:
“Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” — Matthew 6:21
Translation:
Your heart follows your money. If all your money goes
toward comfort, upgrades, and flexing — your heart will too.
If some of your money goes toward God’s work — your
heart shifts that direction. Whatever and where ever
you invest your money that source influences how you
navigate life and how you move.
Giving isn’t about funding God.
It’s about forming you.
Why This Matters
Giving is not a transaction.
It’s training.
Every time you give, you’re saying:
“My security isn’t my money.”
And over time, that changes you.
TITHING
Tithing was not a fee you paid to God—it was a declaration of trust.
They gave the first portion of their income - which said, “You are my provider, not my paycheck.”
Throughout Scripture, God’s people gave the firstfruits as an act of worship (Proverbs 3:9), a way of putting Him first in what felt most secure. The tithe—traditionally ten percent—was a historic starting point for that trust.
When God speaks in Malachi 3:10 and says, “Test me in this,” it was not an invitation to strike a deal with Him. It was a call to step out in faith, for the Israelites. The promise was not a prosperity formula, but the assurance that God saw them, provided, and remained faithful.
Tithing did not purchase blessing—it reordered the heart. And over time, that reordered heart learned that the Father truly is enough.
